How We Inspect Wholesale Monument Quality — 6-Point Inspection System
Our monument inspection process checks the stone, dimensions, finishes, carving, component fit and packing against buyer-approved requirements. Importers can agree photo documentation and independent inspection at the relevant checkpoints.
6-Point Quality Inspection Protocol
The applicable checks are confirmed for the product and order. Nonconforming items are recorded, corrected and rechecked before shipment approval.
Dimensional Accuracy
Check the finished component dimensions, profiles and specified holes against the buyer-approved drawing. Record actual measurements and use the tolerances agreed for that order.
Surface Polish & Finish
Compare every specified surface with the approved finish sample and drawing. When a gloss reading is required, agree the measurement method, target and evidence for the particular material and finish.
Color Consistency
Compare the proposed production lot and components with the approved sample under consistent lighting. Record the agreed colour and grain range, including any natural variation requiring buyer review.
Carving & Etching Fidelity
Compare carved details and ordered lettering or etching with the approved artwork. Record the design version, piece identity and any deviation that needs correction or buyer review.
Dry Assembly Verification
Trial-fit multi-component sets as agreed for the order. Check component identity, alignment, contact areas, joints and overall appearance against the approved drawing before packing.
Packing & Crating Integrity
Each monument is individually wrapped in high-density foam, placed in custom-fitted standard export wooden crates with corner protectors and moisture barriers. Strap tension and crate structural integrity are verified before loading.
Photo Documentation at Agreed Checkpoints
Photo or video documentation can be provided at the production checkpoints agreed during order review and recorded with the order documentation.
- Raw block selection — you approve the stone before cutting
- After cutting & polishing — verify dimensions and finish
- After carving / etching — check design fidelity
- Full dry assembly — see the complete monument assembled
- After packing — verify crating and protection
Photo stages, views and any video review are agreed for the order; no fixed photo count substitutes for the required inspection evidence.

Third-Party Inspection Welcome
SGS / Bureau Veritas
Buyers may arrange an independent pre-shipment inspection, including through SGS, Bureau Veritas or their own representative. Confirm the scope, timing, access and fees with the appointed inspector; availability for inspection is not a claim of certification.
Your Own QC Agent
Send your representative to our factory. We provide full access to all workshops, raw material storage, and finished goods areas. Hotel recommendations available.
Live Video Inspection
Can't travel? Schedule a live Zoom video call. Our team walks you through the workshop and shows your specific order in real time.
Quality Assurance FAQ for Monument Importers
What quality standards does Boda Stone follow for granite monuments?
Inspection follows the approved drawing, sample and written order specification. Applicable checks cover dimensions, surfaces, colour range, carving or lettering, trial fit and packing. Tolerances, gloss requirements and evidence are agreed for the material and order. See the shipment record checklist.
Can I send my own inspector to your factory?
Yes. Buyers can appoint an independent inspector or their own QC representative. Agree the scope, timing, access and fees before the inspection. A live video review can also be discussed for the order.
What happens if a monument fails quality inspection?
Items that do not meet the agreed specification are recorded, corrected or remade as required, and rechecked before shipment approval. The order record should show the issue and closure. Transit damage is handled separately under the agreed shipment, insurance and claim terms.
How do you ensure color consistency across a large batch of monuments?
Material for an order is reviewed for color and visible grain under consistent lighting against the approved sample. A reference sample can be retained for repeat-order comparison, subject to natural-stone variation and current lot availability. Pre-production material photos can be provided when agreed.
Do you provide inspection photos during production?
Yes. Photo or video records can be provided at the checkpoints agreed for the order, such as material review, finished surfaces, carving, trial assembly and packing. Confirm the required views and approval milestones before production; the record is defined by the order rather than a fixed number of images.
