Serp Top Monument Drawing Checklist
The serpentine top is a curved profile across the die, but buyers also need to define die and base proportions, inscription margins, side finishes, and cemetery foundation requirements. A catalog size should not replace a dimensioned drawing.
- How is the serpentine curve controlled?
- Provide overall die length, height and thickness, center and shoulder heights, curve symmetry, corner treatment, and any check or wash feature.
- What must match between die and base?
- Confirm base length, width, height, top and side finishes, die setting area, joint treatment, vase holes, and the cemetery-approved foundation interface.
- How is lettering space protected?
- Approve the inscription panel, margins below the curve, family-name hierarchy, dates, epitaph, emblems, portraits, and companion-layout centerline.
- What should inspection records show?
- Request the agreed drawing checks, finish review, inscription proof match, component fit where applicable, piece marks, and packing condition before shipment approval.
